What asking Flora is like
Four questions, answered the way Flora answers them: general questions about workers’ compensation paperwork for free, questions about your own documents on a paid plan, and a plain refusal where the answer belongs to your carrier.
This is a recorded sample, not a live conversation. The business, the documents and the figures below are invented, and no model runs on this page.
Where the line sits
Free, on every plan and before you have one
How a premium audit works, what an NCCI class code is, what an experience mod measures, why a subcontractor certificate matters, what a contractor is generally asked for. The same answer for every reader, written by Flora, costing nothing to serve.
On a paid plan
Anything read from your own file: what your audit is still missing, what a document you uploaded actually says, your readiness score explained, and book-wide questions for an agent or carrier. Every answer shows the file, the page and the words it came from.
Never, at any price
Whether something is covered, whether a carrier will write you, what a premium will be, what the law requires, or what to do about a claim. Flora is a data vendor; those answers belong to your agent, your carrier or an attorney.

What does a premium audit ask for?
- Flora: FloraFrom Flora’s guide
A workers’ compensation premium audit is the carrier’s year-end check of what a business actually did against what it estimated at the start of the term. An auditor typically asks for payroll records for every employee by job duty, quarterly state and federal payroll tax filings, a cash disbursements or general ledger summary, a list of every subcontractor paid during the term with a certificate of insurance for each, and an owner and officer list with titles. The difference between those numbers and the estimate on the declarations page becomes an additional charge or a return.

Two of the seven required items are still open. Nothing has been uploaded yet for the Q3 payroll summary. The Silva Drywall certificate is on file but its period ends before the last invoice date Flora has for that subcontractor, so it needs a fix rather than a first upload.

Flora will not answer this — on any plan
- You:
Is the new install crew covered under this policy?
- Flora: Flora
Flora will not say whether something is covered. That is the carrier’s decision, and Flora is a data vendor — not an insurer, an agent or an underwriter. What Flora can show you is what your documents actually say and what your file is still missing. For the coverage question itself, ask your agent or your carrier.

Flora’s model reads documents, matches them to your checklist, and drafts plain-language notes. It does not make any decision about coverage: the carrier does that, as always.
