Terms of service

Flora is a place for a small contractor’s compliance paperwork. These terms say what Flora provides, what you agree to when you use it, and what Flora does not do.

Effective September 17, 2026.

Who we are

Flora is a data vendor, not an insurer, agent, or underwriter. Flora reports evidence-backed observations; the carrier makes every coverage decision. Flora does not price, issue, place, or end insurance coverage and does not recommend coverage decisions. Nothing on this site is an offer of insurance, an insurance application, or a coverage recommendation.

Flora provides software and reports. Your insurance is between you, your agent, and your carrier.

What Flora provides

A checklist of what your workers’ compensation audit will ask for, generated for your trade. A place to upload those documents from a phone, with checks for readability, the period a document covers, and consistency with what you told us. A readiness score, which is 100 minus deductions for things we can observe, each listed as a reason. Company verification: a short call or text to the insured about their own policy, checked against the application. And growth signals, when the evidence suggests there is more premium in a policy than the application declared.

Every one of these is a report of what we observed. None of them is a decision about coverage, price, or eligibility, and Flora never makes such a decision.

Your account

A contractor, agent, or carrier/MGA can create the company workspace that matches their role. Additional people join through an invite. Flora team access is internal and has no public signup. You agree to give accurate information, to keep your password to yourself, and to tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done under your sign-in.

Agents and carriers see only the company files they were invited to or that were attached to them. The Flora team sees every file in order to run the service.

Your content

The documents and details you put into Flora stay yours. You give Flora permission to store and process them to provide the service, and to show them to the agent and carrier contacts attached to your company file. The insured is the source of every document in its file: Flora does not scrape, buy, or infer records from anywhere else.

You agree not to upload anything you do not have the right to share, and not to use Flora to store material unrelated to your workers’ compensation file.

Plans and payment

New companies start on a trial. Paid plans use our checkout partner; Flora never sees or stores card numbers or bank details. What each plan unlocks is listed on the plans page. If a payment lapses, your file stays and the paid conveniences pause until it is current.

Calls and texts

Calls and texts are about the insured’s own policy. Anyone who replies STOP is never texted again; with no recorded consent Flora places live human calls only.

Confirms the business exists, the contact is real and reachable, and details match the application. Identity and consistency, not headcount.

What Flora does not do

Flora does not sell, price, issue, place, or end insurance. Flora does not recommend a coverage decision to anyone. A readiness score is not a verdict and not a measure of honesty. An estimate attached to a growth signal is marked “Estimate” and is not a premium or an invoice.

Flora flags premium additions and may earn a finance spread if the insured chooses to finance the endorsement. Alert fees are priced on premium actually added, not on alerts sent. Financing is offered separately and only where Flora is licensed or confirmed exempt.

Availability, changes, and limits

Flora is provided as it is, and we work to keep it available and accurate; we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of mistakes. To the extent the law allows, Flora is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

We may change the service and these terms. When a change matters, we will say so on this page by updating the effective date, and in the app where it is relevant.

Ending your account

You can ask to close your account at any time from your account page; a person at Flora confirms the request with you by email before anything is removed, and the data page explains what is kept and for how long. Flora may suspend an account that is used to attack the service or other users, or to store content unrelated to a workers’ compensation file.
